The fitness Cliff Notes
A simple framework to safely train for performance and longevity after 40
First off, if you have somehow landed on my page and are taking the time to read this, thank you. I’ll keep this short, my name is Sean and I am an online and in person trainer that specializes in helping people maximize their time working out, so they can enjoy an active lifestyle outside of the gym. As a busy father myself I can relate to the absence of free time, and spending hours in the gym with it isn’t on the top of my list either. Seriously-who has time for that? Work, family, sleep, repeat. Fitness doesn’t have to consume your life for you to be in great shape, ready for whatever it is you enjoy doing. With so much information out there it can be overwhelming, every fitness guru claiming their way is the only way and anyone who does it differently is wrong. Honestly, I don’t even care about all that anymore, do you. If you are a combat athlete, training for the olympics, or special forces selection, I’m probably not your guy. If pure aesthetics is your main goal, also probably not the guy for the job. But as a nerd for all things fitness related, I love staying up to speed on how everyone trains. My zone of genius ( in my opinion anyway) is taking elements from all of them and applying it to people like us. Busy parents and former athletes that still have some fight left and want to compete with themselves, safely. Our 40’s doesn’t have to mark the end of being an athlete, but there are are no hacks or magic pills, or finish lines. I’m not trying to wow you with big words about my training philosophy here, I’ll save that for another day. In short, consistent execution of the basics over time, that’s it. Nothing fancy, but basics never go out of style and always deliver lasting results. That’s where I come in, let me help put a plan together that will reignite the athlete in you. Let’s get fit for life and have some fun in the process. Keep it simple, we are in our primes!
Later,
Sean
